ORIENTATION AND CAPACITY BUILDING ON ORGANIZATIONAL MANAGEMENT FOR SHG
To empower women in Chapar, a new project was implemented in this financial year 2023-24. Accordingly, 10 SHGs were formed to help the women become self-sustained through on savings habit and financial discipline. The SHG members belongs to tea garden community of Chapar. They are mostly engaged in daily wage labour in the tea garden area. As part of the planned activities, an Orientation and Capacity Building on Organizational Management was organised from August 24 to 25, 2023 at Gunaline. Mr. David Tirkey, MBA, resource person gave orientation on the concept and purpose of SHG. The training covered topics such as five principles of SHG, byelaws, book keeping, bank account, loan and leadership. The new SHGs were excited to work together as a group to support each other. The two-day training concluded with a vote of thanks by the local coordinator.s
