FAsCE India Joins the Race to Make the World a Better Place

FAsCE India, in collaboration with the Centre for Environment Education (CEE), celebrated world Environment Day (WED) on 5th June, 2016. Two main events: an awareness rally and planting and Distribution of Saplings marked took place on this occasion. Rev. Fr. Saji George the executive director welcomed everyone to the event. The awareness rally was flagged off from Narengi near LG Tower by Mr. Madan Chandra Kalita, the Office In-Charge of Satgaon Police Sation and marched till SFS School compound. Many SHG women and children from Supplementary education centre participated in the event. Ms. Himashree Bhattacharya, Programme Officer and Ms. Rajshree Saikia, Project Associate from Centre for Environment Education attended the programme. Ms Himashree Bhattacharya, in her address, highlighted the significance of the day. To mark the occasion Rev. Fr. George Panthanmackel the Provincial of MSFS congregation planted a sapling and distributed to the people.
